Our top 5 moving day tips, so that you can save as much money as possible.
We pride ourselves on being honest and reliable removalists, so it's only fair that we share these money saving tips. At the end of the day, we want happy clients, so if you can save a few bucks, then we're happy too.
So how can I save money?
That's an easy one! You could save hundreds of dollars if you follow these simple steps.
Tip #1 - Be clean and organised
Try to have everything packed into boxes. The more loose items you have, the more trips it will take us to the truck, and then the longer it will take us to complete your move.
Want to go an extra step further? Clear all the hallways from items and have your boxes in either the bedrooms or living room ready to go.
Tip #2 - Packing well
Following on from our previous tip, packing is the key to a successful move. With everything boxed and stacked inside neatly, things will flow a lot easier. Don't over/under pack boxes, and don't fill them up with heavy objects. Head to our Instagram page to see our reels on the best way to pack boxes.
"Don't make the boxes too heavy, but also don't have them half empty as they wont stack properly in the truck." – Esteban, The Founder
Tip #3 - Clear all possible pathways
If your hallways are packed with stuff, it will make it harder for us to walk through them. Especially with larger or fragile items.
Tip #4 - Disassemble your furniture
Whatever you have that can be disassembled, go for it and disassemble it before your removalists arrive. Obviously, we can disassemble and reassemble anything required, but it will add a considerable amount of time depending on how intricate it is.
Tip #5 - Unplug and empty your white goods.
This will make it quicker for us to just grab, secure, and take them. If we need to drain the washing machine pipes etc, then it will take a little longer.
Finally, don’t forget to secure us a good park!
Depending on your access, try to keep us a spot, so we don't have to walk as far.
